You must be a member of America First Credit Union with an active PIN number & an account in good standing.

How will I receive my personalized card?
It will be mailed via U.S. Postal service.

How long will it take to receive my card?
America First processes and sends out cards daily. After the design was submitted, you can expect your card in five to seven business days.

How will I know if my image is accepted or rejected?
You should receive an approval or rejection email within two business days.

How do I design my Picture Perfect® card?
Card customization is easy:

• Upload your photo in online banking
• Customize the design by enlarging, cropping, rotating, or adding a message
• Once you’re satisfied with the look, hit the submit button

How do I activate the card once I receive it?
Once you receive your card in the mail, follow the activation instructions on the card label. The purchaser must activate the card.

What format does the digital photo need to be in?
The image must be in a .jpeg, .jpg, or .bmp format. The file size must be 50KB to 3MB and the minimum dimensions are 840x840 pixels. Large pictures work better, but they may take longer to upload.

How do I convert my photo into a digital image?

If it’s a physical photo, scan it into your computer or take it to a processing facility. Remember, the image needs to be saved in either .jpeg, .jpg, or .bmp format.

What size does my image need to be?
Please use an image that is at least 840x840 pixels and at least 50KB in size, but not bigger than 3MB. Large images may take longer to upload. Our design service provides a tool to re-size your picture.

How do I ensure my card looks as good as possible?
Choose a clear, sharply focused image, preferably taken at high resolution. You can also use photo editing software to enhance it before uploading; however, this is not mandatory.

Why was my image denied?

Every submitted image is reviewed for compliance according to our guidelines. Each image also must follow the Visa® Issuing Guidelines as set by Visa® International.

America First Credit Union reserves the right to reject any picture we believe violates the Visa® Image Guidelines. If one is rejected, you will be notified by email within two business days. You may submit a new image at any time following this notification.

What are the image guidelines?

We reserve the right to determine whether an image will be used. All images must have the consent of the owner, including photos downloaded from the internet. The following are examples of prohibited items in the foreground or background:

• Material that could infringe on the copyright or trademark rights of another party, such as branded products. This includes abbreviations, acronyms, logos, or related symbols.
• Images that could be perceived as violent, including hatred or cruelty to humans or animals, profanity, or obscenities.
• People conducting or involving themselves in criminal or illegal activities, including gambling.
• Images/content demonstrating the views of anti-social, political, or religious groups.
• Libelous, defamatory, sexually explicit, or other content we deem offensive, including discrimination, hate speech, or socially unacceptable groups (such as gangs).
• Any references to the Olympic Games or Olympic events.
• Commercial solicitation or promotional material.
• Celebrities such as actors, musicians, athletes, or cartoons. Exceptions to this prohibition include permission-based photos of you, your family members, or friends photographed with a famous person.
• Use of addresses, phone numbers, personalized identification numbers, and URL addresses.
• Provocative or derogatory photos or images of a sexual content.
• Naked or semi-naked images of adults or children.
• Racial/prejudicial or discriminatory subject matter.

Please note: If you repeatedly submit images that do not follow the above guidelines, America First Credit Union reserves the right to exclude you from future Picture Perfect use.

What are the best practices for uploading images?

• Files can be in .jpg, .jpeg or .bmp formats.
• They must be at least 50KB in size, but not exceeding 3MB, and be at least 840x840 pixels. For best results, use larger images with higher resolution.
• Large files may take longer to upload.
• Small pictures will reproduce poorly.
• If you excessively increase the scale of your image, it may also reproduce poorly.
• The time your picture takes to upload depends on your internet connection speed.
• Images cannot be uploaded using a URL. You must upload an image from your computer or mobile device.
